School days

Rewatching the anime School Days. This is much better than I remembered. I mean the animation is quite weak compared to modern standards, but designs and direction are good. Most of all, the writing is really solid. Pretty much everything that happens on screen drives the story forward, and it’s not a cliched story either. I love how every episode ends with some significant event. I happened to glance at bad ratings of this series on MAL and it just goes to prove that there’s no trusting on that userbase. I bet a lot of it is “1/10, MC is the worst” type of reviews. Well I can kind of imagine girls might not like this anime so much, but clearly they never were the target audience anyway (it’s a VN original).

Kotonoha (the yandere) threatens to reveal that Setsuna (the short class-iin) kissed Makoto (the MC) while he was sleeping. Just as she is saying it loud, Setsuna gives her the death stare and proceeds to kiss Makoto in front of her.

Finished it now. Nice
