Louis Wain

Louis Wain was an artist who around the age of 54 suffered a head injury which made him spend much of his remaing life in mental hospitals. For his full career he was known for often painting cats, and as he continued to draw and paint following the injury his cats seemed to become more and more abstract. Some of his art has been considered precursor to psychedelic art.
