Halt and Catch Fire

Started watching the series Halt and Catch Fire (2014). Seems pretty good.

It’s interesting how the guys are not starting a “startup”, but kind of infiltrating a company in the middle. This gives them a hostile boss and employees which is interesting.

I like how Cameron seems to have a difficult relationship with money. My take was that she spent all of her paycheck on strangers because of that.

Watching Halt. Gordon’s reaction to Joe and Cameron being together again: “It’s like you’re a train and she’s a train, and you think Oh we are both trains, we should get along great! — But the both the trains are on the same track, headed right at each other. And guess what, both the trains are carrying dynamite!”

A person makes a self-deprecating joke and then takes offense when the other fails to make a witty response and says something like “Hah, yeah.”

Watching Halt. Finally it’s getting exciting again around end of season 3.

I think it has a bit too much drama, I prefered the geeky stuff.

Finished watching Halt and Catch Hire. I only liked the first season.

Bos: “Hey Joe, did you ever try my chili? It’s an old Bosworth family recipe, handed down. The secret in the cinnamon. Yeah. See what you do, is you take that cinnamon and you put it in the cupboard because it has no damn business being in the chili in the first place.”
